Article 1 Processing and security
Processing and security of personal data
When you make a reservation with ArdenParks, we require certain information about you. We also process data in other cases, such as requests for information, the administration of competitions and visits to our websites. We also use third parties to receive and process certain personal data on behalf of ArdenParks. This is the case, for example, for the sending of brochures, mailings and other marketing tools or for the processing of our visitor survey.
Below is a more detailed description of the data we may process and what we do with it:
First name, surname and gender
In order to be able to address you personally on the campsite and in our subsequent communications, we would like to use your personal data. Naturally, this data is also required to register your booking for the necessary financial processing.
Address and place of residence
Most booking information is sent to you by e-mail. However, some information will be sent to your personal address. A valid address is also required for billing purposes.
Telephone number
We may need to contact you regarding your reservation. We will call you if you have any questions and may send you an SMS, for example if your bungalow is available earlier. Sometimes we call you before or after arrival to ask if everything is clear and if you are satisfied.
Dates of birth
Anyone booking accommodation with ArdenParks must be at least 18 years old. In addition, the tourist tax may depend on the age of the people staying in the accommodation. This is why we need dates of birth. If you or a member of your travel group celebrates a birthday during your stay, we'll try to think of it and maybe do something extra.
How to pay
To pay for your booking, we use a secure payment environment. When you pay by iDeal / Bancontant or bank transfer, your details are kept in our records in order to link the payment to your booking. In addition, we only use your bank account number when you receive a refund from us. If you pay by credit card, we send your credit card details directly to our credit card partner from our secure environment. Our credit card payments are processed by our credit card partner. In doing so, we do not see your credit card details. Our partner only tells us if your payment has been processed.
E-mail address
You will receive an e-mail concerning your reservation, your invoice and the reservations you have made. You will also receive e-mail newsletters. If you prefer not to receive further newsletters and offers, you can easily unsubscribe by clicking on the link in the newsletter.
Article 2 Purposes
We use your data for the following purposes:

Your "ArdenParks account" may contain your personal data. Name, postal and billing address, date of birth, telephone number and login details. Conveniently, you don't have to enter these details every time. We also keep details of your previous bookings. So we can help you more quickly and in a more targeted way.

If you have taken part in an action, we may contact you to let you know about it. We also use this data to analyze our actions.

Your responses to our guest survey are reviewed by us to improve our services. We may contact you after completing a survey, for example to ask further questions or to thank you for your feedback.

We'd like to know what you think of our service and newsletter. That's why we collect this behavior. This enables us to analyze your reading behavior and create content tailored to your needs. To do this, we record unique visits and all the activities that take place on them. Think of page views, enlarging an element or clicking on links. Sometimes, a third party performs these checks for us. This data does not identify you personally.
Complaints data
We sometimes use guest data to investigate, prevent and counter fraud. In certain circumstances, we are required to pass on personal data to the relevant authorities. Under (international) sanctions legislation, we may also, in certain circumstances, share your data with, for example, financial institutions such as a debt collection agency.
